Choosing a Camera

So the first step is to choose the right DSLR for you. There are now a fair few different DSLRs with a HD Video function so it’s important to have an idea of what is available so you can make an informed decision. Philip Bloom (God of all things DSLR) has a pretty solid post on the matter here.
Basically there are three companies making currently making HDSLRs worth noting. Canon, Nikon and Panasonic. I will be focusing heavily on Canon in this blog firstly because I have a good working knowledge of them, but also because they are commonly regarded as being at the forefront of the HDSLR movement (having been the ones who inadvertently started the whole thing!)
My next few posts will each cover a different camera and what I believe to be it’s individual strengths and weaknesses.

(note. I won't be covering any Nikon cameras as I currently don't consider any of them strong contenders as far as video goes, with the exception of the D3s. This is however so expensive I didn't feel it belonged here)
